Therefore a variety of beautiful places on the island of Bali developed into a tourist attraction. One of the tourist areas that are now to be well known is the charm of beauty Kintamani, Gunung Batur dan Danau Batur.

In the mountainous area about 40 km from the city of Denpasar there is a mountain known as Mount Batur with deep crater lake and natural hot springs in Toya Bungkah , Kintamani. Cool mountain air temperatures accompanied by scenery to all directions, as beautiful as the existence of some important temples, which has made the location of Kintamani tourism to be one of the unforgettable places in Bali's tourist agenda. Mount Batur is one of the small volcanoes, but it is located in the middle of a large crater with a diameter of 14 Km. In addition, Mount Batur is adjacent to a crescent-shaped Lake Batur surrounded by a high wall of crater rim. The size of the steepness of the crater will make you imagine the huge eruption of Mount Batur that occurred ten thousand years ago.

Trunyan Village, which is one of the Old Village, is often also called Bali Aga or Bali Mula. The people of Trunyan Village are still very strong in their traditions, especially the burial tradition of corpses. The burial of the corpses in Trunyan Village was not done in the same way as people in other areas to bury corpses.

The corpses there were wrapped in shrouds next to the ground surrounded by "Ancak Saji" woven from bamboo that was shaped in such a way, then stuck around the location of the corpse. The unique thing is, although the corpse is not planted in the ground, but the corpse does not give off a whiff. The public believed that the smell of the corpse was neutralized by the Taru Menyan tree that grew up in the area around the burial site of Trunyan Village.

According to the story of society, in ancient times a dead man's body was deliberately left so not buried to block the smell of Taru Menyan tree that supposedly spread its smell to the island of Java. Because the ruler of the king in Trunyan Village at that time was afraid his area was attacked because of the fragrant Taru Menyan tree, so he took the initiative to neutralize the fragrant odor that was too fragrant by not burying the corpse of a deceased citizen. Finally until now the tradition is still held firm by the surrounding community.

Most of the people who come here are in the afternoon, all the tourists want to see the sunset. Kintamani tourism site, Mount Batur and Lake Batur become the mainstay as one source of regional revenue for the Province of Bali, therefore the location of attractions Kintamani, Mount Batur and Lake Batur always get special attention from the government or from other tourism actors.
